I loved your memo, btw...

Aww, screw it! I just wrote a good long post on borrowing "Get Over It" today and then the IE frozes! How stupid! Anyways, yeah I borrowed "Get Over It" today. It wasn't that good as Sharon said. Anyways, yeah a lot of people are miscast imo. The male and female leads are not very attractive and are stoic. There are wayyy too many characters. Cameos by Vitamin C, Coolio, and Carmen Electra were interesting but that couldn't save the movie. Sisquo and Mila Kunis and a bunch of other characters could've been further developed or not at all.

There were some high points in the movie. One can see Kirsten Dunst as a star in the making when she does the "Dream of Me" solo verse. That song is wonderful. Most of the cast can't sing but that gives it more of a realistic feel of a school play. The movie isn't very funny or charming. It was just a teen movie... average. Shane West was a big letdown. I don't think someone of his nature would be playing a Euro boyband member. Yes, the heavy accent was intentionally over-the-top, but it still wasn't that funny. He's too hardcore for this stuff. Nonetheless, it does satisfy one's curiosity of him miming in a cheesy boyband video for "Luv S.K.U.D." in a sleeveless shirt!

The movie revolves around "A Midnight Summer's Dream".. a play I was never familiar with, but anyways, it wasn't as entertaining as "10 Things I Hate About You"'s take on "Taming of the Shrew."

I hate myself for loving you!

I've seen the trailer for "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" or whatever. In both viewings, it looks horrendous for a movie that cost so much and had so much production problems. In both times, the so-called "lead star" Shane West has no lines and is seen only once in the background. And the ugliest shaggy hair you've ever seen. Can you say "Yuck, I want my Tomb Raider 2: The Cradle of Life, please?"

I have not spent so much money in one day before. Today I used cash and did some serious damage to my credit card. Bizarre!

I finally got to watch "L'auberge espagnole." Thank goodness Fox Searchlight did not go all Miramax and change the title to the more accessible "The Spanish Apartment." For those who ask why, you have to watch the movie yourself. The title in Francais is relevant.

Right now, I'm slacking off not doing my English portfolio and weekend journal entries (yep, me the super slacker for the whole year has 3 out of the 7 entries done so far). And I'm listening to some amazing music that Mandy Moore's "Coverage" got me excited about. I can't believe that 80s and "old" music are really good. This makes me more eager to snatch up Mandy's daring new album come September.

I have to say that I regret never buying Mandy's self-titled album. I got "I Wanna Be With You" but I was never really into that album. However, a couple of songs on her self-titled album like "Cry," "Crush," and "17" are really worth keeping. "17" because that was when I turned 17 and I thought it was really important to listen to it then.

Well, I'm hungry now. Ciao.
