I loved your memo, btw...

"Carpe diem!"
[Music Kiley Dean, "Just A Little"]
Saturday night. The Corrs (minus a "very pregnant" Caroline). Kodak Theatre. 8 P.M. Second row VIP seats which I bought months back, anticipating my planned event of the summer.

It was absolutely f--king awesome. It was surreal; now that's the word to describe it. It doesn't hit me how amazing, fantastic, breathtaking The Corrs were live and how CLOSE Lien, Kit, and I were to the action. Words cannot describe it.

During the hot songs such as "So Young," "I Never Loved You Anyway," "Breathless," and the instrumentals:
My heart pounded, my legs just got up and boogied, my hands clapped until they were numbed, I hollered "YEAH!" like Carly Hennessy several times, and I even threw in my Mandy Moore in "How To Deal" dancing.

The Corrs were sooooooooo great and they really are so good live that it scares me. Andrea twirled and twirled, looking so charming, and sang so flawlessly. Jim looked like he was having so much fun playing the guitar, piano, drums, whatever. I was happy to see he sung along in some of the choruses.. he's the man! Sharon, with goregous blonde hair, tore the theatre apart with her solo of "No Frontiers" and was absolutely stunning on the violin and singing.

I posted bits and pieces of the concert at message boards. They sum it better than I can now, so I'll repost them here. What a night. A night I won't forget! The Corrs' music really has helped me a lot; their lyrics are comforting and they actually mean things while their music is soothing and strikes the right chord in me. I love their music and I'm happy to say, in my lifetime, I was able to see them live in a great venue with a great crowd. Thank you, thank you, thank you.. everything and everybody!

The show was fabulou-so! I will post more later. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't bring a camera! The Kodak Theatre were pretty lenient.. the only thing they were strict on was not allowing me to dance away from my seat to the open area. (The guard pushed me back in place after I was 2 inches away from the line)

Andrea was SO, SO, SO sexy. SO SO SO SEXY! SO SO SO SEXY! Sexy twirling! Sexy barefoot dancing!

We got to see Jim upclose since he was on our side of the stage. He gives off that mysterious, quiet, dark, handsome stranger vibe which was what I expected! He was so sexy (and looked "so young") when he took off his sun glasses.

Sharon and her stylish blonde hair turned heads and received a standing ovation when she took the stage by herself, with Jim on the piano, on "No Frontiers." I would've loved Caroline to be there too! She was missed even though Andrea said in the beginning of the show that the "very pregnant" Caroline missing wasn't going to be very noticeable ("but don't tell her I said that!"). (I had to LOL at that, it was hilarious)

And just like you said, they performed "Queen of Hollywood"! What a treat. Thanks for the tip.. you all Corrs fan know everything (or you're very good at foreseeing the future). It was absolutely amazing and it made me feel so special to be at the "Hollywood gig." :D

The crowd was very respectfully, although I wished it was a bit more wild. The Kodak theatre is a great place to play but it's not exactly the type where you feel at place to stand up and go crazy. Only during the instrumentals, "So Young" (of course, I was NOT going to sit that one out), and "I Never Loved You Anyway" (you just couldn't contain yourself but stand up and vent "I never loved you anyway!" along with Andrea -- kick ass break-up song, indeed!), and "Breathless" did people stand up. I was surprised only two people stood for "Summer Sunshine" which preceded "So Young."

I am so happy I got to see them.. they were impressive. After hearing Andrea explain the track "Borrowed Heave," it all made sense to me. I will treasure that song forever and I love it now. I LOVE it.

As for the merchandise, I spent $95. Expensive, but it was damn worth it. The only item that I felt was ridiculously overpriced were the keychains. The quality wasn't up to par (mine was all scratched up) and it was just a standard album cover picture. But now I'll have something to hold my apartment keys on. :)

I'll post more later.. I'm kinda frazzled right now. :)

I purchased a program, two t-shirts (the blue one and the black one; they had a beige one which looked nice as well), a poster (it's two sided. it's gonna be hard choosing which side to stick up on my dorm room), and a key chain (the last thing I bought.. i hesitated).

Yep, it was very expensive. I was prepared so I took $100 out of my ATM, kissed it, and put it in my wallet. In my opinion, it's well worth it because I don't know if I'll ever see The Corrs again and if I'll ever have the opportunity to buy these Corrs-wear again. Even if I can buy it online, it won't feel the same. It's kind of a memorabilia of the concert I can wear for a long time and show "Hey, I was there!" (geoguy can agree with my sentiments here) So yeah, there's my logic! My friends were kind of shock I spent $100, but I scoffed because they spend $150 on Victoria Secrets and Banana Republic. They can splurge on designer clothes but I splurge on music! :)

I agree with RobM88. When Sharon missed her violin part on the first part of "Radio," the expression she gave was so cute. It was kind of like "aw-forget it, I'm too late to jump in" and when she got back on it, the crowd did cheer her on loudly!

I recall when Sharon was getting ready for her solo of "No Frontiers," someone shouted "I love you hair!" She did have nice hair! :)

My friend was in love with Andrea's sparkly silver shoes she danced in. She took them off later on. Someone threw some fluffy slippers on stage and she laughed, saying it was a nice gesture. However, she didn't put them on. :( Maybe if she did, fans will expect her to wear all the shoes they throw on stage after that.

Sophie B. Hawkins was alright.. I was surprised and happy she performed her biggest hits, "Damn" and "As I Lay Me Down," for the audience. I think the majority of the audience, including myself, only knew those two songs. She had so much energy but she kept blabbing incoherent stuff for two songs. I think she said something like "I'm going to open for The Corrs tonight. I fed my dog." It was funny, but a bit too wild for me. She had a nice caboose though; she must work out!

The sweetest part of the night was when Andrea went over to Jim and put her arm around him while he was playing the guitar. He was smiling and sort of glowing. It was a really happy moment and it was right in front of where I was sitting!

I also liked the part when she went over to him particularly and sang "Hideaway" as if it was directed to him or something.

Part of me wished the audience was crazy and brought the house down. Like, the audience wouldn't leave and kept clapping even though the lights came on. Then maybe, they would perform a second encore. The place was kinda too elegant for that though. Sophie B. even commented how quiet the audience was (okay, maybe the crowd wasn't there to see her.. but.. it's sort of true. Only the first couple rows went wild enough to start a reaction to get ppl out of their seats).
