I loved your memo, btw...

Aww, screw it! I just wrote a good long post on borrowing "Get Over It" today and then the IE frozes! How stupid! Anyways, yeah I borrowed "Get Over It" today. It wasn't that good as Sharon said. Anyways, yeah a lot of people are miscast imo. The male and female leads are not very attractive and are stoic. There are wayyy too many characters. Cameos by Vitamin C, Coolio, and Carmen Electra were interesting but that couldn't save the movie. Sisquo and Mila Kunis and a bunch of other characters could've been further developed or not at all.

There were some high points in the movie. One can see Kirsten Dunst as a star in the making when she does the "Dream of Me" solo verse. That song is wonderful. Most of the cast can't sing but that gives it more of a realistic feel of a school play. The movie isn't very funny or charming. It was just a teen movie... average. Shane West was a big letdown. I don't think someone of his nature would be playing a Euro boyband member. Yes, the heavy accent was intentionally over-the-top, but it still wasn't that funny. He's too hardcore for this stuff. Nonetheless, it does satisfy one's curiosity of him miming in a cheesy boyband video for "Luv S.K.U.D." in a sleeveless shirt!

The movie revolves around "A Midnight Summer's Dream".. a play I was never familiar with, but anyways, it wasn't as entertaining as "10 Things I Hate About You"'s take on "Taming of the Shrew."
